Came here just before closing and they graciously still allowed me to place an order. I started to order the blackened grouper but when she said it would take longer I decided to go with fried, which I insisted I didn't mind after she said they would do whatever I desired. The staff was so sweet and personable and my hubby enjoyed his dinner. They have good, southern seafood there and I will be back again soon.

Can't tell you how many times I've driven by this place and said to myself I should stop. Well today it's my birthday and I am on no ones schedule but my own so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant is small - 14 tables in all. On this day there was only one other table occupied. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered fried green tomatoes to start. I do believe they were the best I've ever eaten! Our food took a little while to arrive but the menu did warn us that they cook everything to order so it may take a while. We ate a grouper sandwich, a shrimp po' boy and a grilled shrimp salad. Everything was good. Some of the shrimp was seasoned a bit heavily. The grouper on the sandwich seemed like it was cooked a little too long but my daughter scarfed it down pretty quick so it must have been good. Overall the food was not the best seafood I've eaten in this area but it was certainly good and I will return!

This is a simple, no frills, local seafood restaurant that satisfies that craving for seafood without costing a bundle. This is one of several Fisherman's Wife restaurants scattered between here and Apalachicola and they all are good. We have more recently made it back because our local seafood option that was closer to home has closed. On our most recent visit my wife and I shared a seafood platter and enjoyed it immensely. Service is always friendly and attentive and food comes out quickly. The prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful for a good price.

Picked up for a Friday night dinner. Wait was long. Should probably have called ahead... We're always on the lookout for a good seafood restaurant, so when we heard about this I decided to give it a try. if you like fried seafood, this one's pretty good. We had a nice variety of Mullet, Catfish, Grouper and Shrimp. However, the cheese grits could have been cheesier, and the Cole Slaw, though tasty, was slightly runny. My husband said his French Fries was just ok. The Key Lime pie was "different", but good. I think if they improved some on their sides, this could be one of the few good seafood places in Tallahassee.

The Fisherman's Wife is a regular dining spot for us whenever we are visiting family in Tallahassee and their food never disappoints. I always get the fried grouper basket which comes with cheese grits, coleslaw, fries, and hushpuppies. The owner picks up fish daily from the fish market, so it is always super fresh. All of the accomplishments are really good, especially the hushpuppies which are fairly large and full of flavor. My husband ordered the fried shrimp basket and said it was delicious! It is is located in a small strip center and the restaurant itself is rather small, but we have never had to wait to be seated and the service is always fast and friendly.
